Perolniyoc is a hidden corner of the Andes where nature and history meet. A striking waterfall drops from 80 meters, surrounded by mountain greenery, while the nearby Inca ruins of Raqaypata tell stories of a people who once thrived here. Walking these paths offers not only beautiful views but also a quiet connection with the heritage of the Sacred Valley, an experience that feels both authentic and memorable.

Start your day with an early pickup from your hotel and a drive into the heart of the Socma community. From here, a scenic hike begins, offering a glimpse into daily Andean life as well as sweeping views of the Sacred Valley. Along the way, keep watch for native bird species that often cross the skies above.
The trail leads to the Perolniyoc waterfall, an 80-meter cascade that sits at 3,460 meters above sea level. Here you’ll pause to enjoy the fresh mountain air and the calm beauty of this natural setting. Continuing uphill, you’ll arrive at the archaeological site of Raqaypata, where your guide will share the stories and history of this lesser-known Inca site.
After exploring, the route takes you back through Socma before returning comfortably to Cusco—closing the day with a deeper connection to both the land and its heritage.
